Within its 65 years of history, Stara has been a reference in agricultural sector innovation, and it is a pioneer at developing machines that integrate engineering and state-of-the-art technology. As it gathers robust equipment and Precision Agriculture solutions, the brand changed the way the market creates innovations that increase field productivity and enable enhanced efficiency and convenience to farmer.
Proceeding with its pioneer status and technological expertise legacy, Stara presents to market an unprecedented new product concept: Spartakus, the world´s first boom spreader and sprayer. The novelty restates brand irreverence and its capacity to anticipate agricultural machine development trends.
The machine was presented to the market at Show Rural Coopavel, a major agricultural sector trade show, held from February 9 to 13, in Cascavel, Paraná. Apart from restating the country´s spreading leading brand tradition, the novelty consolidates the company as an authority at developing products designed to Brazilian soil reality. After all, Spartakus will gather, in a single self-propelled, fertilizer boom spreading, spraying and seeding.
Stara Chief Executive Officer, Átila Stapelbroek Trennepohl, highlights the project features. “Spartakus has been developed from Stara well-known systems, adding enhanced capacity and efficiency features, as well as the market renown technological package. It is a machine designed to the farmer willing to reduce and optimize costs, with high operation precision.”
According to Cristiano Buss, Stara Research and Development Director, the machine stands out due to the possibility of performing fertilizer boom spreading. With a pneumatic system and 30 m application range, Spartakus is equipped with 12 spreading sections, placed along the booms at 2.5 m distance between them. “The operator can control the application rate and shut down sections individually, assuring enhance convenience, assertiveness and fertilizer saving”, he emphasizes.
Apart from enabling uniform spreading even under windy weather, the self-propelled characteristic enables calibration and setting. “It is necessary to regulate only the metering to be spread, not requiring application range calibration using pans, regardless of the product to be spread”, he adds.
For farmers that use cover crop, Spartakus also enables seeding, using the same spreading system. In spraying, the machine incorporates solutions that enhance field performance and ensure outstanding application, including Nozzle-by-Nozzle Control System and Continuous Recirculating System.
As a complement to this technological assembly, Up & Down Hydraulic Lift System and Smart 4-Wheel-Steering System, as well as central boom exclusive system stand out, which enable enhanced stability and operational efficiency. “With a wide, comfortable and silent cab, convenience during the operation is also another major feature of Spartakus”, says Buss, highlighting the balance within tank capacities, including 3,000 litres of chemical solution and 4 m³ of fertilizer and seeds.
With Spartakus pre-launch, Start restates its call to innovate and its constant evolution essence. As it gathers versatility, technology and efficiency in a single self-propelled, the company reinforces its commitment with the farmer, enabling smarter, more productive and sustainable operations.
