Mr. Eduardo Josef Reinhofer shares nearly 30 years of history with Stara. Eduardo of the town of Entre Rios, Guarapuava city district in the state of Paraná, visited the Stara factory for the first time in 1996. In the crop in 96/97, he acquired his first brand machine. Today, he owns plenty of Stara machines, and among them, Hércules and Bruttus spreaders, a grain cart, and seven Guapa Supra Winter seeders with 60 row units.

Eduardo comes from a family of farmers. His grandfather and his father, and later him, worked with agribusiness. Eduardo is 65 years old and is passing the farm to his sons, Bruno Reinhofer, and Robert Reinhofer. It makes him very proud. “Passing the business to my kids was rewarding. I have never forced them to study something specific. But when the time came, both chose to major in Agronomy and Business. They graduated and decided to work with me. Seeing them take over the farm management is a joy. They have been working on the family farm for 10 years.” Eduardo and his wife, Hildegard V. Reinhofer, remember when their kids were small, they would go to the field with him before going to school.

Nowadays, Eduardo and his family produce with Stara’s help. They apply winter crop cover to their crop fields. “In the winter, we sow wheat and barley. The sowing season for this cover is short. For this reason, plenty of machines are required,” he says.

To Eduardo Josef Reinhofer, the sowing quality is one of the main factors to ensure high yields, and this is one of the reasons that made him choose Guapa. “It reduces the number of machines in my fleet because I have invested in larger machines and more technology. I chose Guapa because it is a large seeder with 60 row units. Although its large dimensions, it is easy to be transported since you can fold its sections and coupled it to the tractor,” he says.

Additionally, according to Eduardo, seed metering and depth interfere with grain germination. “The remarkable feature of the machine is sowing seeds by means of pneumatic springs, which is better and ensures uniformity delivered as much for sowing as for fertilizer application. I’m very happy with the yield results”, he says.  Guapa Supra Winter features pneumatic pressure springs connected between row units that ensure pressure uniformity when sowing. This system is easy to calibrate, so it makes the farmer’s work easier too.

According to Eduardo, the greatest challenge is to produce more on the same land in a shorter time. That is why the farmer feels so happy with Stara products. The company products deliver operating yield allied to easy and precise sowing. The farmer compliments Stara machinery, especially  Guapa Supra Winter. “We’re very happy with the sowing yield. We can improve plantability by using our seven Guapa seeders to reach our production goal.

Stara is proud to share nearly 30 years of history with the Reinhofer family and wishes that this partnership continues to evolve through new generations filled with yield and constant evolution.
