On August 23rd, 24th and 25th, Stara presented its co-innovation project with SAP at SAP Supply Chain & IoT Forum, event held in Bariloche, Argentina.

It was the second edition of the most important meeting of the Digital Supply Chain and IoT, promoted by SAP, gathering executives and professionals of supply chain, logistics and operations in Latin America. The forum brought together the main users of SAP Latin America, who got to know Stara case of technological innovation focused in Precision Agriculture, which, with the use of IoT (Internet of Things) technology, it is possible to interconnect the information of agricultural machinery, through Stara Telemetry, to the management systems of farms in real time, presented by the engineering manager, Venicius Damo Cunha. Internet of Things means connecting electronic devices to the internet, and the information is stored in the cloud. Stara has been working with this concept since 2015, when it released Stara Telemetry, where information of the agricultural machinery can be accessed through mobile devices connected to the internet and in real time. From this point, Stara and SAP developed a co-innovation project and the concepts of this project inspired the creation of a product called Connected Agriculture, which is an integral part of SAP Leonardo, a platform for storage of information in the cloud. This project, which is new all over the world, was only possible thanks to the innovative tradition of Stara and related to Precision Agriculture, which has been its area of business for more than 17 years.
